Abgel Negassa (She/her/hers) is a Research Assistant at the Institute for Community Health. Prior to her work with ICH, Abgel was an intern on the C-HEAT Project, a collaborative research project between Boston University School of Public Health and GreenRoots aiming to build capacity for these communities to respond to extreme heat events.
Abgel is an undergraduate student majoring in Health Science in Sargent College at Boston University. Her interest in public health stems from addressing how communities of color are disproportionately affected by health issues. Abgel is also minoring in African American studies and Biology. Abgel was born in Dallas,Texas and currently lives in Boston. In her free time she loves traveling, trying new foods and journaling.
