Elvin Yao is a Research and Evaluation Project Manager at Institute for Community Health. He is involved in evaluation projects related to healthcare delivery systems, behavioral health, early childhood education, and social determinants of health. Prior to ICH, Elvin worked as a Measurement and Evaluation Specialist at an organization that provides mental health, housing, and employment counseling services to homeless women in Los Angeles.
Elvin received his BA in psychology from the University of Iowa with a minor in human relations. He then graduated from Claremont Graduate University with a MA in applied social psychology and evaluation science. Currently, he is working on his Ph.D. degree in applied social psychology with a focus on cultural influence, motivation, and social stigmatization, at Claremont Graduate University.
