Karen Finnegan is a Research and Evaluation Scientist at the Institute for Community Health. Karen joined ICH in 2017. Her interests include health systems and the use of routine data for evaluation. She is particularly interested in evaluating health systems strengthening initiatives. Prior to joining ICH, Karen worked in global health with projects in Malawi, Madagascar, and Rwanda.
Karen holds a BA in Latin American Studies and Spanish from Bowdoin College and a MPH from Emory University. She is a doctoral candidate at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Public Health where her dissertation work focuses on the measurement of pneumonia in children in Malawi.
