Shanyin Yang

Epidemiologist II

Shanyin Yang (she/her) is an Epidemiologist II at the Institute for Community Health. At ICH, Shanyin’s main responsibility is to work on program and intervention improvement and evaluation. Collaborating with diverse project teams, some areas that Shanyin works on are behavioral health, aging, social determinants of health, and healthcare access for vulnerable populations. Prior to ICH, Shanyin was involved with several research projects focused on psychiatric rehabilitation and smoking cessation among HIV populations.

Shanyin holds a BA in Psychology from Lafayette College and received her MPH from Boston University School of Public Health with a focus on Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Shanyin is also a Research Assistant at Boston Medical Center, where she focuses her efforts on designing and implementing a technology-based smoking cessation intervention for people living with HIV in China. Shanyin was born in China and currently lives in Boston.
