Last week, ICH’s Carolyn Fisher was an invited presenter at the RELEVENT: Action Research Symposium hosted by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). In the session “Equity Tools and Approaches”, Carolyn discussed the formative evaluation of an RWJF program called Community Solutions for Health Equity (CSHE). This evaluation has captured perspectives from participants at various stages of the grant application process, including people who decided not to apply. Some of the early results have uncovered ways in which the historic events of 2020 and the reputation of the foundation influenced reactions to the initial Call For Proposals. The session discussed lessons learned from this process and explored implications for future evaluation and research projects that seek to promote equity.
