A new article by ICH’s Ranjani Paradise and Megan Hatch, along with co-authors from Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) Multicultural Affairs and Patient Services, was published in The Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety. The paper, “Reducing the Use of ad hoc Interpreters at a Safety-Net Health Care System,” detailed the reduction in usage of ad hoc interpreters – namely, patients’ family and friends – at CHA through comprehensive quality improvement efforts.
