Birth to Third Grade Partnership

The City of Cambridge is undertaking a city-wide initiative called the Birth to Third Grade Partnership. The goals are to improve the quality of early childhood education efforts, increase access to these program for low-income families, and improve coordination and collaboration among early childhood programs, centers and schools across the city.  ICH is working with their staff to build evaluation infrastructure for the initiative by developing a logic model and evaluation plan. We are also conducting formative data collection to understand the experiences of educators who are receiving coaching, mentoring and other professional development opportunities, as well the experiences of the Birth to Third grade coaches and mentors who are delivering services. This formative evaluation will help the initiative document early successes and make data-informed programming changes in the upcoming year.
