Evaluating the impact of a mobile food market intervention

Client: Greater Boston Food Bank
Topic Area: Social determinants of health
Service: Training and Technical Assistance

ICH is providing data services to the Greater Boston Food Bank to support the evaluation of the implementation and impact of a mobile food market in Revere. ICH will create a study database for project researchers, integrating data from surveys implemented at two time points, electronic medical record data and medical insurance claims data. ICH will also provide technical analytic expertise to identify a comparison group for patients receiving services from the mobile food market. ICH will support the use of census data by geo-coding address data in order to facilitate census block analysis. Our work will enable the Greater Boston Food Bank to conduct analyses that will add to the evidence base for mobile food markets.
