LUK, Inc. and the North Central Community Action Team (NCCAT) are partnering with ICH to increase their capacity to assess the needs of the community in central Massachusetts. ICH will provide detailed summaries of available community data to the Action Team, including that from the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) and NCCAT’s Community Perceptions Survey, as well as provide technical assistance around the creation of new data collection tools. ICH will also support the evaluation of NCCAT’s social marketing campaigns aimed at reducing youth nicotine, marijuana, and alcohol use in the local communities. ICH’s comprehensive epidemiological support will allow LUK, Inc. to meet the evaluation requirements of their grants from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and will enhance data dissemination efforts and implementation of best practices among the Action Team members.
