ICH provided strategic assessment and planning guidance for RIZE Massachusetts Foundation, which is working to end the opioid epidemic in Massachusetts. In addition to providing grants to direct service programs, RIZE also seeks to create systems change by funding initiatives that generate knowledge and/or foster collaboration and coordination among institutions and stakeholders in the field. ICH worked with RIZE staff and the Program Strategy Committee to articulate their programmatic and systems change goals and to develop strategies for evaluating progress towards these goals. ICH also developed structured tools to help RIZE reflect on their work and evaluation results, identify opportunities, and make decisions about new grant programs. The set of strategies and tools that ICH developed will help RIZE integrate learning, evaluation, and data-informed decision-making into their organizational processes.
