Between September 2016 and March 2018, ICH worked with the Mayor’s Health Task Force (MHTF) in the City of Lawrence to lead a comprehensive assessment and strategic planning process. Following completion of the strategic plan, the MHTF engaged ICH to collect data on community needs and evaluate their initiatives (focused on Behavioral Health; Adolescent Health and Leadership; Healthy Active Living; and Housing and Homelessness). ICH worked with the MHTF to develop logic models and evaluation plans, and to implement some of the organizational changes identified through the strategic plan. We developed the Lawrence MHTF Data Dashboard, which compiled and displayed secondary community health and social determinants data for the city of Lawrence and its surrounding communities. ICH also worked with the MHTF to evaluate their coalition meetings, community trainings, programs, and policy change initiatives. The MHTF used the evaluation learnings to demonstrate their initiatives’ impacts and increase the community’s understanding of its health needs.
