The Partners for Lawrence Youth (PLY) project is a three-year multi-component effort to reduce teen pregnancy in Lawrence, MA. Beginning in July 2015, PLY has sought to develop healthy teens in Lawrence by bolstering referral links in the community, increasing access to sexuality education, developing communication and leadership skills, and addressing the root causes of teen pregnancy. ICH was contracted to provide assessment and evaluation services to PLY. ICH implemented a community needs assessment to identify the root causes of teen pregnancy in Lawrence, and also analyzed attendance, program, and satisfaction data to evaluate an evidence-based sex education curriculum that was delivered to Lawrence youth.  The community agencies implementing the curriculum and the Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy used the data collected to identify program improvements and ensure that they are reaching the youth most in need of the curriculum.
