ICH is conducting applied research for the BeHealthy initiative, a partnership between Health New England and the Baystate Healthcare Alliance. This research aims to better understand the barriers that their patient population experiences in accessing primary care telehealth services. The project utilizes a mixed methods approach, including qualitative interviews with patients, electronic health record data analysis, and a quantitative survey. Through this process, the Partnership will learn about barriers and facilitators to telehealth use from the perspective of their patient population. At the end of the project, ICH will synthesize all data and present findings to stakeholders, and may also support the BeHealthy research team to develop a publication. The BeHealthy Partnership intends to use research findings to design an intervention to address barriers to telehealth, with a goal of improving the level of telehealth engagement in primary care services.
