
Laura McElherne (she/her/hers) is a Senior Research and Evaluation Project Manager at the Institute for Community Health. At ICH, she is involved in projects related to substance use and the criminal justice system. Prior to joining ICH, Laura worked as an internal evaluator at Safe Horizon, a victim service provider based in New York City. She is interested in participatory, trauma-informed approaches to evaluation, and in work that builds power among historically excluded communities and contributes to social change.
Laura received a BA in Art History from New York University, and an MSW with a focus on community organizing and policy from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. She currently lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband and two kids.
