ICH provided technical support to Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) for the submission of high-quality data on diagnosis and treatment of HIV/AIDS patients to meet state reporting requirements. On a quarterly basis, ICH cleaned, coded, and oversaw submission of patient-level data to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. ICH systematized the reporting process and used Microsoft Access and SAS for data management. A key component of the project was communicating with the CHA clinical team about data quality checks, data discrepancies, and ways to improve the capture of patient information. As a result of the partnership with ICH, CHA successfully met quarterly state reporting requirements with a high level of data accuracy.
