Seika Brown

Research Associate

Seika Brown (She/Her/Hers) is a Research Associate at the Institute for Community Health (ICH), where she works on projects related to substance use disorder prevention, community-driven health policy, and improving access to mental health services for adults with mild to moderate mental health conditions. Seika has been a cultural mental health advocate since she was 15, when she founded a non-profit focused on mental health policy.

Seika holds a B.S. in Urban and Regional Studies with a minor in Anthropology from Cornell University and is pursuing her MPH at Tufts School of Medicine. She has been recognized as a 2019 Local Changemaker by the Gates Foundation Discovery Center, received the mPower Award from Mental Health America in 2021, and was awarded the Rare Beauty “Make A Rare Impact” Award from Selena Gomez in 2023. Seika’s favorite activity is speed skating and loves to go out on the ice whenever she can. She is also a devoted Buffalo Bills fan, hoping to see them win a Super Bowl in her lifetime.
