Shriya Powar

Epidemiologist I

Shriya Powar (she/her) is an Epidemiologist I at the Institute for Community Health. At ICH, Shriya evaluates initiatives that provide health and social services to homeless pregnant women and new mothers as well as programs addressing children’s mental health and youth violence prevention. She also contributes to research projects utilizing quantitative and mixed methods analysis. Shriya has worked as a dentist in India, providing care to diverse communities, and was involved with research in pediatric and preventive dentistry.

Shriya received her BDS degree from Goa Dental College in India and completed her MPH degree focusing on epidemiology and biostatistics from Boston University.
